During my senior year, I was voted onto the School of Natural Science and Mathematics (SNSM) Student Advisory Board. As students, most of us believe that there is not enough power in their words when there is a problem. The Advisory Board serves as an intermediate between students and the faculty. If any students have questions or concerns, we are there to listen to them and then talk to the appropriate people. We held multiple panels to hear what the SNSM students needed and wanted to better their education, as well as what would help them succeed in their futures. I learned about how I act in a leadership position. When confronted with issues, I learned how to delegate and resolve those problems in an efficient and timely manner. I enjoyed my time on the Board, and I have learned from this experience.
